# GVSB MASTER SPEC V2 — Restyle + completeness

Builds on the V1 site (same repo `gvsb-website`, same content/data, same 5 pages + components). This spec is the FULL source of truth for the V2 work: the style direction to mimic (from the live example the user pointed to), the explicit new requirements, and the complete deck→site content map for the QA gate.

## 0. Style to MIMIC (extracted live from https://gvbsb-website.vercel.app/ — the example)

Design read: "premium navy energy-EPC landing style: full-screen dark navy hero with layered gradients + subtle blue grid pattern, white bold display H1 with a blue-300 gradient accent word, pill CTAs (solid blue #2563eb + white), centered hero; alternating white / #F8FAFC sections with large bold navy H2 (48px), navy CTA bands, blue-tinted image cards, pill badge eyebrows, generous spacing."

Tokens (from the example's live CSS — byte-accurate):
- Hero bg: `#0b1638` (brand-950) with two overlays: `linear-gradient(to right bottom in oklab, #0b1638 0%, #172554 50%, #0b1638 100%)` + `linear-gradient(to top, #0b1638 0%, transparent 50%)` + a grid pattern `linear-gradient(rgba(37,99,235,0.03) 1px, transparent 1px), linear-gradient(90deg, rgba(37,99,235,0.03) 1px, transparent 1px)` at opacity 0.2 (blue grid).
- H1: 72px, weight 700, white; accent word `bg-clip-text text-transparent bg-gradient-to-r from-blue-300 via-blue-200 to-sky-400`.
- CTA primary: `bg-blue-600 #2563eb` text white, pill (rounded-full), px-8 py-4, text-base font-semibold; secondary: white bg, `#1e40af` text.
- Section rhythm: `py-20 lg:py-28`, max-w-7xl, alternate `bg-white` / `bg-[#F8FAFC]`; navy CTA band `bg-[#0b1638]`.
- H2: 48px weight 700 color `#0b1638`; eyebrow: `inline-block text-sm font-semibold tracking-widest uppercase mb-4 text-blue-600`.
- Cards: `bg-white rounded-xl` (16px), image tops with `bg-gradient-to-br from-blue-100 to-blue-50`, stat numerals `text-brand-950`/blue, small slate-500 captions, pill `bg-slate-50 text-slate-500 text-xs` tags.
- Hero has NO big image — it's gradient + grid + white text; hero height min-h-screen; centered content.

OUR additions on top of the example (user requirements):
- Hero: use the solar power-plant photo (`01 Home Page/power-plant-using-renewable-solar-energy copy.jpg`) as a full-bleed BACKGROUND with slow parallax + a navy gradient scrim so white text stays readable (dark on the photo). Big company logo (GV blue logo) above the H1, large.
- All logos (clients, partners, certifications, brands) always in FULL COLOR (never grayscale).
- Client/partner logo sizes: larger than current (clients ≥ 64px, partners ≥ 56px, PowerGuard ≥ 80px), consistent within grids.

Design tokens (final, in globals.css — keep the V1 measured brand blue):
```
--brand-deep: #040073   (measured from GV logo; stat numerals, headings accents)
--ink:        #0B1B33   (navy text, cards on light)
--navy:       #0B1638   (hero/CTA/footer dark bg — matches example)
--navy-2:     #172554
--accent:     #2563EB   (blue-600 — primary CTA, matches example)
--accent-soft:#60A5FA   (blue-400 — accents on dark)
--paper:      #FFFFFF
--surface:    #F8FAFC   (alternating section bg)
--line:       #E2E8F0
--sky:        #DBEAFE   (blue-100 card image tint)
Fonts: Space Grotesk display + Manrope body (keep from V1; do NOT switch to Inter — the example uses Inter but our premium pairing is fine and consistent with the brand).
Radii: 16px cards, 999px pills. H2 48px/700; eyebrow uppercase tracking-widest blue-600.
```
The page THEME LOCK: dark (navy) hero + dark closing CTA band + dark footer; everything between is light (white/#F8FAFC). That matches the example and the V1 pattern.

## 1. Site map (unchanged from V1 — 5 pages)

- `/` Home — hero (photo bg + parallax + big logo) → trust logos → stats → about intro + timeline → core solutions (4) → why choose us → featured projects → certifications strip → closing CTA
- `/solutions` — UPS deep-dive (+ PowerGuard SNM product), Solar, Biomass, BESS
- `/projects` — tabs Solar 11 / Biomass 8, card grid → modal spec sheets
- `/about` — company info, org chart (HTML), certifications, clients + partners
- `/contact` — head office, form, closing CTA
- Nav: floating pill, mobile hamburger → overlay. Footer: navy 4-col.

## 2. Content — VERBATIM FROM DECK (complete map, the QA checklist)

This is the FULL content the site must carry (word-for-word from the deck). QA gate = every string in this list appears on the site at the right page/section.

## 3. Requirements this build MUST satisfy (user asks)

1. ALL logos in COLOR always (clients, partners, certifications, brand) — remove any grayscale filter, use the color source files.
2. Logo sizes BIGGER: client logos ≥ 64px tall, partner logos ≥ 56px, PowerGuard product logo ≥ 80px, hero GV logo large. Consistent within each grid.
3. HERO: full-bleed background image `power-plant-using-renewable-solar-energy copy.jpg` (add to pipeline as hero-bg) with slow parallax (yPercent -6→6 scrub) + navy gradient scrim + subtle grid overlay; BIG GV blue logo above the H1; white 72px H1 "Engineering Reliable Power for a Sustainable Tomorrow" with blue-gradient accent; sub; CTAs (primary blue pill "Get in Touch", secondary white pill "Explore Our Solutions" → wait: one contact label per intent rule — primary "Explore Our Solutions", secondary white "View Our Projects"). min-h-screen, centered.
4. Style mimics the example: navy hero/gradient/grid, alternating white/#F8FAFC sections, 48px navy H2, blue-600 CTAs, blue-tinted card images, pill eyebrows (≤ 1 per 3 sections), 16px card radius.
5. EVERYTHING from the deck + images folder is on the site (QA gate against §2).

## 4. HARD RULES (unchanged from V1, restated)

1. Zero em-dashes (— or –) anywhere. Hyphen only.
2. Fonts Space Grotesk + Manrope only (no Inter/Roboto/Arial).
3. No purple/neon. Blue family. No pure black #000. No pure white #FFF text on white.
4. One accent family (blue-600 CTAs + brand-deep), one radius scale (16/999).
5. No invented numbers. Deck numbers only.
6. Hero: H1 ≤ 2 lines, sub ≤ 20 words, CTAs visible, max 4 text elements, no trust strip inside hero.
7. Nav one line, ≤ 72px. No scroll cues, no section-number eyebrows (deck numerals stay as card labels), no version labels.
8. Layout families vary across adjacent sections.
9. CTAs ≥ 44px, AA contrast, single line, one "contact" label ("Get in Touch").
10. Motion: GSAP/Lenis only, transform+opacity, reduced-motion collapse, no window scroll listeners for animation.
11. Mobile: explicit <768px single-column collapse everywhere, no horizontal overflow, min-h-[100dvh] not h-screen.
12. All buttons/links real.
13. Dark (navy) ONLY: hero, closing CTA band, footer. Everything else light.
14. Logos: color always; no category labels under client logos (category headers OK in Business Partners).
15. Images real, no div-fake-screenshots, no labels overlaid on photos (captions below).
16. Images: ALL project images present; use existing src/lib/blurData.ts placeholders; next/image everywhere with proper alt (decorative icons alt="", meaningful images get alt).

## 5. Implementation notes

- Base = V1 codebase (src/, SPEC.md, scripts/, tests/). Keep ALL content/data (src/lib/projects.ts, site.ts), the org chart, the modal, the form.
- Rebuild globals.css tokens per §0. Update Hero.tsx (photo bg + parallax + big logo + new copy), Nav (color logo, pill), Stats (brand-deep numerals on light), section backgrounds (alternate white/#F8FAFC), CTA styles (blue-600 pills), card radius 16px, headings 48px/700.
- Big color logos: ensure pipeline copies color logo files (it does — brand/gv-logo-blue.png, powerguard-logo-blue.png, partners/* in color). Remove any grayscale CSS. Increase sizes per §3.2.
- Add hero-bg image: add `power-plant-using-renewable-solar-energy copy.jpg` to the pipeline as `hero/hero-bg.jpg` (width 1920) — if the pipeline script needs a one-line addition, do it (script is ours).
- Keep: Lenis, GSAP, Reveal/Parallax/StatCounter/Timeline, nav overlay, modal focus trap, form validation, axe-clean semantics, reduced motion.
- The single-page V1 structure is fine to keep (pages: home single scroll + /solutions, /projects, /about, /contact) — OR if V1 was single-page-all-in-one, keep that structure too (it mirrors the deck). Whichever the V1 codebase has, keep it; do not restructure pages.

## 6. Gates

1. `npm run build` green, `npm run lint` 0 errors, em-dash grep empty.
2. All §2 deck strings present (run the deck-string checks).
3. All 19 projects + spec sheets in modal (data unchanged, verify render).
4. All logos render in COLOR (no grayscale class/filter on logo imgs) and sizes ≥ thresholds.
5. Hero has the power-plant photo as background with parallax + big GV logo.
6. 325-check harness passes (update only if a legit content change requires it).
7. No horizontal overflow desktop + mobile; all links/buttons work; axe clean.
